Challenge

Help a small but exceptional landscape design company stand out in a saturated suburban market.

Process

The client had broken off from a very successful business he had co-founded years earlier to start this new business. We worked through a 2-hour branding workshop to identify his unique brand positioning and mine the gems of his enterprise. The solution that came to light was to play up the client’s unique approach to landscaping as integrating the wild world.

From there, we created a brand deck that reflected his personal approach to landscape design. We presented a round of initial identity design concepts, one of which required only some minor revisions to complete to final. After the client was happy with the final logo and business card, we got busy creating signage and advertising for their first trade show.

Insights

When a company is just starting up and needs our best work as cost-effectively as possible, we rise to the occasion. No matter how small the business (in this case, our client was a 2-person team), every enterprise needs — and deserves! — a great brand identity. This especially rings true for a new company striving to make its mark among its many competitors.
